Gene targeting strategy for B-hCD300A mice.
The exons 1-4 of mouse Cd300a gene that encode the extracellular protein were replaced by human CD300A exons 1-4 in B-hCD300A mice.
Strain specific analysis of CD300A gene expression in wild-type C57BL/6 mice and homozygous B-hCD300A mice by RT-PCR. Splenocytes were collected from wild-type C57BL/6 mice (+/+) and homozygous B-hCD300A mice (H/H). Mouse Cd300a mRNA was detectable only in wild-type C57BL/6 mice. Human CD300A mRNA was detectable only in homozygous B-hCD300A mice, but not in wild-type C57BL/6 mice.

Splenocytes were collected from wild-type C57BL/6 mice (+/+) and homozygous B-hCD300A mice (H/H), and analyzed by flow cytometry with anti-hCD300A antibody.
