Strain specific analysis of KLK2 mRNA expression in wild-type C57BL/6 mice and B-hKLK2/hKLK3 mice by RT-PCR. Prostate RNA were isolated from wild-type C57BL/6 mice (+/+) and homozygous B-hKLK2/hKLK3 mice (H/H;H/H), then cDNA libraries were synthesized by reverse transcription, followed by PCR with human KLK2 primers. Human KLK2 mRNA was detectable only in homozygous B-hKLK2/hKLK3 mice but not in wild-type mice.
Strain specific KLK3 expression analysis in homozygous B-hKLK2/hKLK3 mice by ELISA. Serum were isolated from wild-type C57BL/6 mice (+/+) and homozygous B-hKLK2/hKLK3 mice (H/H; H/H) and analyzed by ELISA with species-specific KLK3 ELISA kit. Human KLK3 was exclusively detectable in homozygous B-hKLK2/hKLK3 mice but not in wild-type mice.
