Gene targeting strategy for B-hCD6 mice.
The exons 2-7 of mouse Cd6 gene that encode the extracellular domain were replaced by human CD6 exons 2-7 in B-hCD6 mice.
Strain specific CD6 expression analysis in homozygous B-hCD6 mice by flow cytometry. Spleen was collected from wild-type mice (+/+) and homozygous B-hCD6 mice(H/H), and analyzed by flow cytometry with species-specific anti-CD6 antibody. Mouse CD6 was detectable in wild-type mice. Human CD6 was exclusively detectable in homozygous B-hCD6 mice but not in wild-type mice.
