      Protein expression analysis

      Strain specific hITGB3 expression analysis in homozygous B-hITGB3 mice by flow cytometry. Blood platelets were collected from wild-type mice (+/+) and homozygous B-hITGB3 mice (H/H) and analyzed by flow cytometry with species-specific anti-ITGB3 antibodies. Mouse ITGB3 was detectable in wild-type mice. Human ITGB3 was detectable in homozygous B-hITGB3 mice.

      mRNA expression analysis
      Strain specific analysis of ITGB3 mRNA expression in wild-type C57BL/6 mice and B-hITGB3 mice by RT-PCR. Spleen RNA was isolated from wildtype C57BL/6 mice (+/+) and homozygous B-hITGB3 mice (H/H), then cDNA libraries were synthesized by reverse transcription, followed by PCR with mouse or human ITGB3 primers. Mouse ITGB3 mRNA was detectable only in wild-type C57BL/6 mice. Human ITGB3 mRNA was detectable only in homozygous B-hITGB3 mice but not in wild-type mice.
