Gene targeting strategy for B-hRETN mice. The exons 1~5 of mouse Retn gene that encodes the full-length protein was replaced by human RETN exons 1~4 in B-hRETN mice.
Strain specific resistin expression analysis in homozygous B-hRETN mice by ELISA. Serum were collected from wild-type mice C57BL/6 mice (+/+) and homozygous B-hRETN mice (H/H), and analyzed by ELISA with species-specific resistin ELISA kit. Mouse resistin was detectable in wild-type mice (A). Human resistin was exclusively detectable in homozygous B-hRETN mice but not in wild-type mice (B).
