Targeting strategy
The part of exon 2 and exons 3-7 of mouse Upar gene sequences were replaced by human UPAR counterpart gene sequences in B-hUPAR mice.
Protein expression analysis
UPAR (also named PLAUR) expression analysis in homozygous B-hUPAR mice by flow cytometry. Peritoneal macrophages were collected from wild-type mice (+/+) and homozygous B-hUPAR mice (H/H) stimulated with LPS, and analyzed by flow cytometry with species-specific anti-UPAR antibody. Mouse UPAR was detectable in wild-type mice. Human UPAR was detectable in homozygous B-hUPAR mice.
